The obstacle
A historic brick three flat on Leavitt Street lost hot water on a Sunday morning. The old 50 gallon sat in a cramped basement with six foot ceilings, three tenants had nothing hot, and the landlord could not wait until Monday.
How we solved it
We were on Leavitt in 45 minutes. The stairwell was narrow and the clearance was low, so a like for like 50 gallon was never going in. We fitted a compact 40 gallon into the existing footprint instead, which cleared the ceiling and kept the connections where they were. All three units had hot water back by evening.

The obstacle
A converted industrial loft on North Avenue, where the owners wanted the tank gone and the floor space back. The building’s gas line already carried what a tankless needs. The walls are concrete, which decides how the unit gets mounted.
How we solved it
We checked the gas line first and it carried what the unit draws, so no upgrade was needed and the quote did not move. We picked a wall in the utility alcove that left the unit reachable for service, anchored into the concrete, and coordinated the electrical and the permit. The Rheem went on the wall and the floor stayed empty. One day, start to finish.
